Create a new Season

A season in pigeonrace.net (like in the real world) is more or less a group of races contained in a single year. At the beginning of each season, you will need to create a new season on pigeonrace.net.

Step 1 - Create a New Season Name

• Go to Admin, then Seasons
• Click Add Season
• A popup will appear. Name your season, usually the year of your season (ie. 2018).
• Tick show on website (or the season will be inactive)
• Click Save

Step 2 - Switch the active Season

• Go to Settings/Website (in the menu)
• Then go to Federation Settings
• Change the Active Season to the season you created in Step 1.
• Click Save (You’ll notice the Current Season will show on the top right)

Your Website is may possibly be offline at this stage, because you have no active races!

Step 3 - Make an active race

• Go to Race, then Create
• Click Add Race
• Create your race, hit Save
• Click Select (in the menu along the top), and select that race - it will turn Green.
• Click the Setup menu item.
• Under the Race Info section, change the status to Birds not liberated
• Click Save

Step 4 - Control what race to show on your website

• Go to Settings/Website (in the menu)
• Click Website Settings
• Tick the race(s) you want to show. Unless you have multiple literations on a single day, you usually only should tick one.
